A proven leader in building long term community partnership opportunities, Suzanne Stone brings innovative ideas to support Komen Austin’s mission in fighting breast cancer. Stone has gained experience in outreach and education, volunteer programs, donor development and fundraising over her professional career. Stone earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Radio, Television and Film from Texas Christian University and is certified in non-profit management. During her free time, she enjoys going to the beach to catch waves on her surfboard, paddle boarding and watching baseball games.

Passionate about empowering women and providing education and resources to individuals most vulnerable to breast cancer, Jeannine O’Deens has dedicated over 5 years of her professional career to Susan G. Komen® Austin. As Director of Operations, Jeannine oversees Financial Management, Operations, Human Resources, as well as the Volunteer and Intern programs. While she is proud of the lives Susan G. Komen® and its affiliates have saved, Jeannine has lost 2 friends to breast cancer and has seen countless lives forever changed. A long time volunteer herself, Jeannine has worked with local schools and several community organizations. Incomparable to the love of her three children, Jeannine loves being an ATX tour guide, attending local improv shows, dancing, and yoga.

As Director of Mission Services at Komen Austin, Eliza May directs and oversees all mission related programs focused on breast cancer such as Grants Management, Education and Outreach, Advocacy, and Research for the Austin region. Eliza has been a part of the Komen Austin team for 3 years and in this time she’s discovered there is nothing more gratifying than learning from a referral that has made a life or death difference in a person’s life because of what she does on a daily basis. As busy as Eliza is caring for the Austin community; she still finds time to take care of herself by gardening, hiking, and traveling. Her goal is to visit all corners of the world and then some.

Susan G. Komen® Austin’s Office Coordinator, Brittney Franks, is in charge of ensuring the smooth operation of the office and administrative functions. Her excellent interpersonal skills and dependability are valuable assets to the Komen Austin team. Brittney’s 2 years of experience with the nonprofit organization have encouraged her to educate others on the severity of breast cancer and where survivors can go to seek help. She believes there are too many people in the Austin community that need assistance and do not know that Komen Austin is there for them. Brittney’s culinary background keeps her busy in her spare time, as she enjoys trying new recipes she finds on Pinterest. She also enjoys coloring with her young niece and nephew, scrapbooking, and traveling whenever possible.

Bree is a recent graduate of Texas State University and a former Komen Austin intern. She is responsible for managing all elements of Komen Austin’s volunteer program as well as supporting the community grants program and education and outreach efforts. Bree believes that she has the best job in the office, connecting the mission of the organization to the influential and passionate volunteers in the program. Bree aims to raise the community’s understanding of breast cancer and the resources Komen Austin provides as well as expand the breast cancer conversation, so that women know that there is hope and that they are not alone. No one should ever have to lose a loved one to breast cancer, which is why Bree is passionate in the fight to end breast cancer forever! Outside of the office, Bree loves to attend sporting events and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her four nephews.

Lauren is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin joining the Susan G. Komen Austin team as the Development Coordinator. Responsible for managing Komen’s third party events and supporting development initiatives, Lauren seeks to build successful fundraising campaigns that engage the Central Texas community on breast health issues and awareness while raising money to save lives locally and fight breast cancer globally. She believes that by bringing together breast cancer survivors, supporters, volunteers, and the community, we can end breast cancer forever. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, refurbishing old furniture, and spending time with her family in Dallas.
